INSTALLING THE MODULE

The Great War module is a plug-in game for MapView.  To install it:

1)  Install MapView on your computer (located on your CD or at 
    MotCreations).
2)  On the toolbar at the top of the screen, select "Tools."
3)  Select "Install Module."
4)  You will be directed to find the module on your computer.
5)  Go to the Great War Module CD-ROM, under subdirectory "Modules."
6)  Click the Great War module file (*.mvm).

The program will then direct you to restart MapView.  
At this time, you should see the icon for the Great War 
next to the MapView Chess icon.



FEATURES/LIMITATIONS OF THE UNREGISTERED MODULE

If you are trying out the module, you will be able 
to view the map, move pieces around, and place new units, 
but you will be unable to save your game.



OBTAINING YOUR MODULE REGISTRATION CODE FROM IMP GAMES

Each time you install MapView to a different computer, a new unique serial number 
is generated for the program.  Your module registration code 
is linked to this number; therefore you should send us 
your MapView serial number so we can reply with your module
registration code.

***You can't register your module until we know your MapView serial number!***  

We recommend the following course of action to get your module registered as soon as possible:

1)  Download MapView from www.motcreations.com, and install it.
2)  Download the unregistered module from Imp Games at 
www.impgames.com.
3)  Once tried our module, if you like it, buy it on our site.
4)  After you've bought it, we'll mail you a CD with the module and a copy of MapView.

5)  ***You don't need to wait for delivery to use your module***  

Once you've placed your order, e-mail us your MapView 
serial number (info@impgames.com), and we'll reply 
with your module registration code.  You can be using 
the module within a day of ordering.




REGISTERING YOUR MODULE

To register your module (after obtaining the registration code as noted previously):

1)  Install the module (see INSTALLING THE MODULE).
2)  Restart MapView.
3)  On the toolbar at the top of the screen, select "File."
4)  Select "New Game." MapView will display icons of your installed modules.
5)  Double-click "The Great War" icon.
6)  After the module loads, go to the toolbar at the top of the window.
7)  Select "Tools."
8)  Select "Register Module."
9)  Enter your registration code, and restart MapView.

You can now save games.  These saved game files are 
tiny, and can be readily e-mailed.  Anyone with this 
module installed can view the file, and if your opponent 
has a registered version, they can modify the file and 
mail it back to you.

HOW TO REINSTALL YOUR MODULE IF YOU INSTALL MAPVIEW TO A
DIFFERENT COMPUTER

Because you will need to reinstall MapView to use your 
module, you will generate a new MapView serial number.  
Therefore, your old Module Registration Code will no 
longer function, and you'll need to send us your new 
MapView serial number so that we can reply with a new 
Module Registration Code.
